Make Sure That Have Enough Uninsured Driver Coverage In Your Own Insurance Policy On Your Vehicles

Comments Off

ONE out of TEN vehicles on Iowa’s roads are UN-insured, acocrding to a study by the Insurance Research Council.  This study is also fairly dated, and many, including myself, would make the argument that these numbers are higher in 2008, and also higher in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.

Do YOU have enough uninsured motorist coverage in your vehicle insurance policies to cover you if you are injured by an uninsured driver?  DO you know much uninsured coverage you have in your policy?  If you are not sure, you should promptly schedule a meeting or telephone conference with your insurance agent to have a full policy review, and determine your current vehicle insurance needs based on income, financial obligations, etc.

DON’T let the negligence or fault of an uninsured driver place you or your family in financial jeopardy.  Raise the limits on your uninsured coverage now, and rest assured that you have proper coverage.  You will probably be quite surprised how little it costs to raise your coverage to proper levels, and remember that Iowa’s minimum requirements ($20,000 per person, $40,000 total per accident) are most likely far too low for most automobile accidents
