Upswing in Nebraska Motorcycle Deaths

Beware Nebraska motorcyclists:  There has been a scary upswing in motorcyclist deaths in Nebraska.  Through August 7, 2015, sixteen Nebraska motorcyclists have been killed in accidents, up three from the same time last year, and neighboring Iowa has seen 23 motorcyclists die in crashes this year so far.  Warm weather and many distracted drivers out on the roads add up to experienced and potentially dangerous conditions.

Whether you are a motorcyclist out on the road or a driver of another type of vehicle, it is vital that everyone have respect for every fellow motorist out there on the roads.  Distracted driving has got to stop and motorists need to be very alert to blind spots and different profiles of vehicles out there.  Motorcyclists are well served by taking thorough motorcycle safety courses and being on the alert when riding at all times and in all places.  Lives literally depend upon focus and respect on the road.
