It is starting to feel like food product recalls are taking over our website blog pages, but must alert consumers to another health risk due to consumers who consume Wonderful Pistachios due to possible salmonella contamination.  Elderly people, frail people, people with compromised immunity, and young children are especially at risk of becoming seriously ill, or even dying, when the salmonella organism infects their bodies.  Symptoms of salmonella infection, in anyone, can include diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, fevers, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.  It can even result in arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis when salmonella enters the bloodstream.  Linking on the above link to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website will give a specific list of products from Wonderful Pistachios included in the recall.  The pistachios were sold in the U.S. and also Canada.

If you or someone you love has experienced foodborne illness after consuming Wonderful Pistachios, contact your medical provider and do not hesitate to contact the caring experts at Inserra & Kelley Law Offices to see whether you may be entitled to compensation.
